Taken looking underneath the Richmond Bridge towards the old church. This is a one shot high dynamic range (HDR) so it’s a little grainy which isn’t so pretty.

Sometimes I’ll drive around aimlessly, looking for the opportunity to take a shot somewhere. Many times I’ll return home without even getting out of the car. This time things went according to plan and I walked away with this shot captured at Otago Bay, Tasmania. I’m not sure why but I really love reflections, my porfolio must be very repetive and boring with waterscapes and reflective shots haha.
I’d like to shoot this location again, like many places I shoot I always like to make a return to capture it in different weather conditions. This could look good on a very wild evening with the wind blowing hard, water like a washing machine and the clouds very angry. Maybe over winter I shall.
This was shot with a Canon 350D, Canon 10-22 and Cokin ND Grads. You can notice the grad slightly at the top of the frame as it begins out dark and slowly neutralises.
This afternoon I watched Heima and you should too. I’ve never really listened to Sigur Rós but was more interested in the beautiful way for which it was filmed, the timelapses in the film are amazing.

Outside the Church of Scientology in Sydne as commuters wait for their late bus. I did a few shots similar to this while in Sydney and really wish I used a tripod or atleast found something to lean the camera on.

I’ve met such a wide variety of people through photography, some a little strange and others who I’m happy to call very close friends, this is one.
On a very wet afternoon in Sydney, I never realised how much it rains there? Crazy.
Been playing with light room lately, I’ve always resisted it a little for some reason? Photoshop has finally started to gel for me and I can work my way around quick and actually know what I’m doing. I really am enjoying light room and will try use it more as the library seems a good feature and probably better to use then the default Canon zoombrowser software haha.
When I first got into photography my only interest was playing with long exposures of traffic. I kind of got over that phase but felt it was time to re-visit again.
Black and white conversion with shadows and contrast pumped very high.
