Light Trails with the Tasman Bridge in the background
Someone has compiled a really nice set of photographs which may be of interest to you all. I found it very inspiring and definitely gave me a few ideas for future work. Haven’t been shooting much lately as I’m slowly running out of different places to shoot so always looking to open the door up to other styles I guess. Really interested in making a light trigger for high speed photography but electronics isn’t my thing argh! haha anyone want to assist? :p
Ha excuse the border as this one is going back a while when I used to bother with logo and border. Now I don’t use them however have been wondering if I should add a slight unobtrusive watermark to my photographs perhaps.
This was taken of the look out building at the top of Mt Wellington, Tasmania. It’s a bit of a shame that it gets locked up at a set time so you can’t huddle in there at sunset to avoid the freezing winds.

Excuse the quality and composite, terrible haha. I was pretty keen to have a play and this was the first timelapse I’ve pushed out with the new moving head. Due to it being the first time I was a little unsure if it would work so I didn’t bother with a scene or anything, just used a open area (my backyard) to run a test timelapse. I’ve had to delay using the panning head for a while as the interval remote was delayed and finally arrived so I could finally test out my panning head (see here). The weather isn’t much at the moment with the sky being grey so any timelapse would be quite boring with their being minimal interesting cloud about. But am quite eager to give the panning a go next weekend and try get something so stay tuned.
I would be really grateful if anyone could recommend a video website other then youtube or google video which doesn’t rape the quality of the video? Thanks!
I often get asked what plugins I use for my wordpress blog so I’ve compiled a list of ones I use and also others that are installed that might be used in the future.
SpamKarma Total Spam Caught: 546 - I think that says enough really, very handy.
All in One SEO Pack - I take search engine optimisation quite seriously and enjoy the traffic which google type in traffic generates. Through using this plugin it allows me to have greater control over the meta tagging of titles, descriptions and keywords which google loves.

The plot thickens! The German Canon website has accidentally uploaded a 5D Mark II on the website. Whether this is just to play with us or a nice marketing ploy which has been successful in the past then time will tell.
I’ll be interested to see if the model will be called a 5D Mark II as if its not a 4D then I guess that leaves the possibility to develop a cheaper fullframe camera later. This would remind me of the 350D and 20D in the past where the 20D was slightly better.
I’ve been surprised how much interest there really is floating about as I’m getting around 200-300 hits from google type ins looking for information regarding the new 5D.
In English ‘“The EOS 5D Mark II with full format CMOS Sensor with 16 megapixels. 6.5 frames per second and innovative DIGIC III Processor. Small, inconspicuous, lightweight and handy but still robust. Water-resistant construction.”‘
I recently brought to your attention of a 5D II rumour which talks of a release approaching very soon (April 22). The day is soon approaching and I really doubt it we will see anything released as there is always a rumour about which speaks of a release coming soon but funnily it never delivers. Would be very hard to resist buying this one if the specs below are real..
It will be interesting to see what the body is actually called whether it’s a 3D, 4D, 5D II, 6D, who knows..
Timelapses hopefully coming soon one of these days. The bracket is all made up ready to go but am still waiting on the interval remote control to arrive arg.
