Coffee is another expensive hobby of mine which kills my wallet but it’s worth it In the foreground are Oomph! JavaJo coffee beans which are just amazing. These are ground with a Rancilio Rocky while a Rancilio Silvia does the rest.
Tourists at Cradle Mountain no way! But really Cradle Mountain is a beautiful place and I can understand how come tourists flock there for a walk around Dove Lake or to get a cliché shot. Amazing place for photographers with the varying weather conditions which you can experience.
It sure is nice living in Tasmania but a bit cold for photographing winter landscapes
This photograph was taken with a Canon 350D, Canon 10-22, Cokin ND Grads and a tripod.

There seems a constant flow of search engine traffic flowing in wanting details of the new Canon 5D mk 2 so this might be of interest to some.
Nigel Honey has recently shared within Australia the Canon 5D has been bundled with a Canon M80 storage device at a cheaper rate which finishes this week. Whether this was a move to sell excess stock in time for a soon to be announcement at the coming PMA and APPA conventions who knows? It’s hard to tip whether Canon would make such a large announcement in Australia or if they would prefer to do so elsewhere?
I’m going to guess that they don’t but instead save the announcement for the biggest photography convention which is Photokina that is held every two years in September. This year the event is held in Germany and could the Canon 5D mk 2, Canon 3D, or whatever be finally announced?

Afternoon light shines through this abandoned hallway giving it some life. Such a shame that everything is so trashed argh but being where this building is you kind of expected the locals to trash it at first chance. I wish to do more urban exploring but Hobart doesn’t have much.
Recently this week I was put onto a new tool for photographers which enables you to upload or link to an image and TinEye will search for that image to tell you where it’s being used. Initially I was very sceptical about the system and didn’t think my image would be found anywhere but it came up being used on CNet and RedBubble but I already knew about that so was no biggy. If only my images were being used somewhere controversial that I didn’t know about, that definately would of made things interesting.
At this stage TinEye is in invitation stage but if you sign up there should be a invite in your inbox within a few hours. Also the database is still very much developing and as others have said it would be great if myspace and other social networking sites were a huge priority as if my images were to be used anywhere, that’s where they would probably go no doubt.
Would love to hear others experiences and if your shots are being used anywhere without your consent

A little iconic no? Cradle Mountain, Tasmania is a wonderful place and I really hope to spend some more time there in the coming years to capture the different weather patterns over Dove Lake.

Another seascape photograph which was taken at Clifton Beach, Tasmania with my Canon 350D, Canon 10-22, Cokin ND Grad Z-PRO, and of course a tripod.
This was taken ankle deep in a quiet channel as I avoided the mass amount of flies hovering around the kelp but was happy with the composition even if I was swamped with flies.

Another from my Friday photography expedition at Clifton Beach, Tasmania. It was a shame the sky ended quite dull but I still had to take some shots to make the trip worth it.
