Clifton, Tasmania - Seascape

Posted by Alex Wise on August 23, 2008

Clifton Beach, Tasmania not so long ago.

I’ve recently been playing around with the Adobe Camera profiles beta (http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Profiles) and quite liked what the slight adjustment did to this test image. As per usual shot with a Canon 350D, Canon 10-22, Cokin ND grads Z-Pro and tripod.

I'm a twenty something male that currently lives in Melbourne, Australia. Originally from Tasmania, I moved to Melbourne in January 2011 and have since been shooting urban and seascape long exposures around Victoria. Away from photography I'm a sucker for a nice coffee, yoyo's and a good tv series.

Hi Alex, This is a great site and I love your land/seascapes. I too live in Tasmania, (at Somerset on the beautiful N.W. Coast) and just came across your site via Google when looking for any info on a revised Canon 5D – a camera I can’t afford but still lust for!
Actually my wife and I have just returned from England, Wales (only briefly) and Ireland with a 3 day stopover in Thailand to avoid the worst of the jet-lag, and while in Bangkok I saw a 5D with a 24-105 f4L for about AU$ 2,200 but having been overseas for over 3 months I no longer had even that to spare! However all is not lost as we plan to return for a much longer stay in a year or two and I’ll save my pennies till then. In the meantime I’ll get to know Photoshop, CS3 and my Finepix S6000fd which has far more ability than I have for now.
    Keep up the great work,
    Rob G.
