The Bay of Fires is my favourite place in Tasmania, beautiful beaches that you can normally get to yourself. These photographs were taken a few days ago on an overnight camping trip which was plagued with pretty average weather. As such making sunrise and sunset photographs not really worth it which was pretty much the purpose of the trip haha. Anyway here are a few pics from the Bay of Fires area including the Gardens and another beach which I can’t remember the name of.

I wanted to mess around with a panoramic but they’re something I’m yet to master so excuse the horizon and waves which don’t really align heh.

Some great shots of the rocks and waves. The Bay of Fires is certainly an interesting place.

FYI, have you tried AutoStitch for stitching photos? It’s freeware, and does a great job of stitching multiple photos.

Thanks for the kind words Martin. I’m on the lookout for another pano tool and will definitely give that a try, thanks for the tip :)

    Hi :)

I just found your site and i love your daylight long exposure shots, esp the one with the person at the edge of the rocks…

i am interested in doing day long exposures and i use a canon 450d 18-55mm and i was wondering what filters etc you used for those shots :)

    Thanks

    Sarah :)
