Instagram - iPhone Photography
Posted by Alex on September 27, 2011
Instagram is a neat iPhone photography application developed by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger that imitates the Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid cameras. The free app offers various filters (post processing effects), tilt shift and borders to customise your photography. No longer are you constrained by a bulky camera and are now able to quickly take photos on the fly. I’ve been using the app for some time now and have been impressed with the continual introduction of new features and filters and the ever increasing community. The growth of the app has even seen local photography groups popping up purely dedicated to celebrating instagram and iPhone photography. A favourite of mine is the igersmelbourne group who meet up frequently and really push the capabilities of iPhone photography. Did I mention it’s free?

These are great Alex! I don’t have an iPhone but I created (and downloaded) some instagram style actions for Photoshop that do a similar job. I really like the vintage look of the bottom 2 (center and left). I come here quite a bit for inspiration, but I’ve never commented. Thanks and keep up the good work
