It’s that time again where we spec­u­late more about the Canon 5D mark II, Canon 3D, Canon 4D or what­ever you want to call it.

Recently I’ve been notic­ing rumors which pre­dict the body plus other bits may be com­ing sooner then many are pre­dict­ing with a release on August 26, 2008. Even some spec­u­lat­ing that we may also get a new Canon 1D series body, the Canon 1D MarkI­IIn.  I haven’t really fol­lowed Canon 1D MarkI­IIn rumors because I’m a poor uni stu­dent and it’s beyond my reach, for now. Based on the image below which shows releases from 2001–2008 I do believe the 1D MarkI­IIn will be more likely to be released in 2009 how­ever Canon is full of suprises so who knows.

But this post wouldn’t be com­plete with­out Canon 5D Mark II spec­i­fi­ca­tion rumor. Accord­ing to north​light​-images​.co​.uk Canon Canada have been the fol­low­ing spec­i­fi­ca­tions for the Canon 5D Mark 2 which sound very pos­si­ble with the price tag leav­ing open a Canon 6D which may be a more expen­sive higher megapixel body as $1,899 is cheap!

Fea­ture wise this seems alright but I’d love some weather seal­ing but will the Canon 5D Mark II actu­ally have weather seal­ing which many are pre­dict­ing? I’m not sure as weather seal­ing may be what dif­fer­en­ti­ates the pro­fes­sional series to the prosumer/amateur con­sumer bodies.♦
