Park Beach, Tasmania - Seascape Long Exposures

Waterscapes are fun times, slipping around on the rocks and anticipating if the incoming waves will knock you flat. Things are usually timed to perfection but sometimes life isn’t so fortunate and I’m waist deep in water from not paying enough attention, part of the fun really. Dodging waves is not the only skill set of photography that worries me, it’s post processing of images. I will be the first to admit that it’s not my strongest point and simple things like dodging, layers, curves, and other simple things are about as far as I can go. Sometimes people ask me if I changed the sky? Sorry I don’t even know how to do that. Perhaps I will post some of my workflows up in the near future to give you a idea of how simple things are in my little world of photoshop.

I’ve written up a few thoughts on the process of ordering a book from lulu which I’ll post up in the coming weeks when my books arrive.
