War time photography is interesting, I have an interest as it’s something I’d never have the courage to do but also because my local newspaper doesn’t really touch on the topic much with photographs but instead a small text article. When you actually look at the photographs to understand the terrain which soldiers must deal with it really makes you realise how hard the day to day activities for soldiers must be. John Moore recently captured a series of photographs in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan which I thought might interest you. (Click)

Recently I’ve been watching Kill Generation a new show from HBO set in 2003 when the US invaded Iraq. Like all shows HBO picks up this one is taking off nicely and worth a look. But from the show it got me searching for war photography and this gallery on the time website stuck out as quite amazing by James Nachtwey and was worth sharing, click here to view
