Eaglehawk Neck - Sunrise Reflections...
Early morning trip to Eaglehawk Neck with Sam Shelley. Getting up at 4:30am you hope the sunrise will be amazing to make getting up at a ridiculous hour worth it but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Luckily not long after the sunrise the clouds... [+]
Tasmanian Sunrise
I was lucky to get home over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend to spend some time with friends and family. After moving to Melbourne earlier in the year, I’ve been a little lazy picking up the camera so it was nice to get out. Originally... [+]
Lindisfarne Jetty - Long Exposure...
A long exposure photograph taken some time ago (Jan/2010) of Lindisfarne, Tasmania on sunset. With not much cloud in the sky, I pushed for a longer exposure (10 minutes at f/11) to exaggerate the cloud in the sky.
Sunset at Park Beach, Tasmania
Not much swell tonight at Park Beach but luckily it was a pretty sunset. I pushed for a longer exposure (10 minutes) to give a sense there was a lot of swell and movement.
Blackmans Bay, Tasmania
I’m slowly running out of seascape locations to photograph in Hobart so it’s always nice to come across something new. This was shot last night at Blackmans Bay, Tasmania with a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40, Cokin .9 ND grad and a B+W 110... [+]
Lindisfarne, Tasmania
Lindisfarne is normally a quiet little bay that barely has a ripple, but was wild this windy evening. Captured on sunset just as a wind surfer made his way out. Shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40 and Cokin Z-Pro neutral density filters.... [+]
Clifton Beach, Tasmania
5″ sec exposure at f/22 Captured not long after this image once the sun had disappeared behind the hills. Amazing the difference that a little light can make. This was an exposure of 5 secs which was just long enough to capture the movement of... [+]
Sunset at Lindisfarne, Tasmania
A beautiful red sunset just near home in 2006. Captured with a Canon 350D, Canon 10-22 and Cokin Z-Pro neutral density filters.
Howrah Seascape
Non existent sunset at Howrah Beach. Captured with usual shidazzle of a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40, Cokin Z-Pro .6 and .9 graduated neutral density filters under exposing the sky to give it more oomph. It occurred to me while writing what equipment I... [+]
Kingston Beach
f.16 at 1.60 seconds with a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40, Cokin Z-Pro neutral density filters. Another shot from Kingston Beach, Tasmania on sunset. This time captured in portrait. I find myself shooting in landscape orientation more and more now, but love going back... [+]
